Wiltshire Council is doing a housing stock condition survey to assess the condition of housing in the county.

The survey is being carried out by consultants CPC Ltd. who specialize in conducting housing surveys for local authorities. Properties across Wiltshire have been randomly selected to take part.

All residents of affected households will be notified in advance of the survey visit and can arrange the time of the visit to suit themselves. Surveyors will not 'cold call'. If someone claiming to be from the survey knocks on your door un-announced don't let them in, but call the council to check.

Results of the survey will be given to the government, who will use them to decide how much Wiltshire should get in the way of grants to improve housing.
