After a long delay, outline permission has now been granted.

Gallagher has finally been granted outline planning permission for the development at Blue Hills in Devizes Road. The formal permission was made on 19th July.

There are many conditions attached to the permission which must either be started within three years or have a 'detailed' application submitted in the same time frame. If the latter, Gallagher would then have a further two years to start building.

The most obvious condition that can be monitored by the public is that 'The existing hedgerows on the boundary of the site shall be retained at a height of not less thanm 1.5 metres. No hedge shall be felled, uprooted or otherwise removed before, during or after the construction period, except where removal is indicated on the approved plans or on an approved landscaping scheme, or whre removal is required to construct a road, footpath or cycleway in accordance with the approved plans.'

I will be happy to supply a full set of the conditions to anyone that would like them.
