What has happened since June?

At the June council meeting, we were told that the Conservative cabinet would look into the possibility of introducing kerbside recycling of cardboard and plastic 'at some time in the future'.

Everything then went quiet but, as if by magic and just before a full council meeting, we have been told that it will be on the October cabinet agenda.

I guess that the announcement was made now to deflect anger at why the review seems to be taking so long.

One downside to this issue is that the Conservatives might well turn round and tell us that we will have to pay to have our green bins emptied!
