The towpath should be restored to its original width.

Following complaints about the state of the canal towpath through Staverton, British Waterways has said it will carry out repairs in November. This forms part of a larger project of bank protection works and the reinstatement of the towpath to its original width. The works also include bank protection to the Lagoon.

The works are in the process of being priced by the BW major works team.
