Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

Hilperton did quite well, but didn't win.
Here is the result for the CPRE 2009 'Best Kept Village competition.

Small village - Marston Meysey, Wilcot, Chitterne, Stapleford.

Medium village - Biddestone & Slaughterford, Collingbourne Ducis, Steeple Ashton, Hindon.

Large village - Box, Ramsbury, Hilperton, Laverstock.

The county round included villages in the Swindon area, and the overall winners were Wilcot, Biddestone & Slaughterford and Blunsdon.

Hopefully, the parish council will follow the lead of other parishes that have won their district round in the past and erect a small memorial plaque on the blind house.
