Free events planned for families.
It's not often you get something for nothing from WC ...
Two weeks of free, fun events for all the family are planned in Wiltshire as part of the national family learning festival. There will be a host of fun events organised by Wiltshire Council and the Learning Skills Council from October 17 - 31. Activities, including mosaic making, history trails and art and cookery workshops, will take place in schools, children’s centres and other community venues across the county. The aim behind the festival is to give families of all ages and backgrounds an opportunity to share some exciting and interesting activities together. It will also offer them a chance to discover new skills and encourage further learning in a supportive and friendly environment. Family learning development coordinator Lucinda Murray said: “This is a terrific opportunity for families to discover something new together. There are many wonderful activities for all family members to take part in across Wiltshire. This is also a great chance to work in partnership with the council's extended schools services as they have local knowledge about what different communities need.”To find out more about events in Wiltshire,
