Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

Don't miss your chance to air your thoughts.

Following on from previous news on this site, the Wiltshire Core Strategy is now open for public consultation and comment.

The good news is that no new development is scheduled for the village; the areas outlined last year have all been removed from the new document.

However, it is important that if you support the removal of earmarked development land in the Gap, in Hilperton Marsh and along Devizes Road that you contact Wiltshire Council and register your support for the new document. As sure as eggs is eggs, the landowners will be lobbying to try and get their fields back into the development framework.

Also, how do you feel about the proposal that Hilperton will no longer be regarded as a 'stand alone' village?
