Review of senior management structure at WC.
WC looks for another way to save money
At its meeting earlier this week, the Wiltshire Council (WC) Cabinet approved a new senior management structure. It is claimed that the review is to try and ensure that WC can be more responsive to council tax payers queries and improve how they resolve issues raised by communities at the area boards.Wiltshire Council is facing tough financial challenges due to the economic downturn and the impact that this will have on income streams and the funding it receives from central government. It is hoped that the review will generate savings of around £1m per year. The structure changes will be completed by the 1st April next year, although some may take place earlier.
