At the third attempt the WWDC planning committee made their decision.
The application by Persimmon Homes to build a road across the Hilperton Gap was approved last night. Nearly all the conditions asked for by the parish council were met, with a few other 'relaxations' thrown in as well, including a cycle track on Middle Lane, provision for traffic calming in Hilperton, and zebra crossings at both ends of the road.

The Government Office for the South West (GOSW) has the right to 'call in' the application, but they will, no doubt, take their time to decide whether or not to do so.
