Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

Tonight's meeting has been put back two weeks.
/p>The meeting of Trowbridge Area Board due to be held this evening has been postponed until Thursday 29th January.

The decision was taken yesterday afternoon due to uncertainty about weather and road conditions tonight.

Whilst some Trowbridge residents and councillors could walk to the venue, many would need to drive and some of the council officers due to attend the meeting would have quite long journeys after the meeting.

In the circumstances it was felt wiser to err on the side of safety rather than risk anyone suffering broken bones or worse.
