Oh well, never mind about the villages ...

Democracy in action ... or not as the case may be.

At last night's Trowbridge Area Board (TAB) meeting the Trowbridge councillors managed to show the two rural members (myself and Cllr. Morland) just where the balance of power is.

After a short debate the Trowbridge members of the board voted that all meetings of the board will be held at the ex-district council offices in Bradley Road, Trowbridge.

Whilst this is jolly nice for Trowbridge residents I think that it is a real slap in the face for those of us that live in the villages. Such is the price of democracy!

That said, I must admit that actually finding a village hall or school that could accomodate a TAB meeting was tricky, but it would be nice to at least have the occasional meeting in a village location.
