Trowbridge leads, will others follow?
The Trowbridge Area Board has given the go-ahead for a pilot scheme to put "Please do not smoke in this play area" notices in play areas within the Trowbridge Community Area.

The move is in response to complaints about the negative image given to children by watching adults smoke near them, children inhaling smoke from parents cigarettes, about litter created by smokers, and about the problem of small children picking up used cigarette butts.

Surprisingly, one councillor spoke against the project but he was heavilt defeated when a vote was taken.

The project will be funded by the area board from its own budget.
