The Conservatives at County Hall are looking to close some of west Wiltshire's swimming pools.

A 'consultation' exercise will be undertaken, after the General Election, about provision of, amongst other things, swimming pools.

In the past, West Wiltshire District Council responded to people's wants and kept a swimming pool in each of our five towns. The new 'super authority' is more interested in slashing costs than serving residents and so our pools are under threat.

The Cabinet member responsible for them lives in Salisbury (or somewhere like that) and so couldn't care less whether or not he offends west Wiltshire residents.
