Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

Have you had an 'odd' telephone call?

I have been contacted by one of the prospective parliamentary candidates for the Chippenham constituency.

It would seem that someone is phoning Hilperton residents purporting to represent one of the main political parties. When the conversation gets to how the called person thinks they will vote in the general election, the caller becomes abusive if they are not told which party is likely to be supported.

I have been asked to let people know that the political party which is named in the call is NOT responsible for these calls.

If you receive one of these spoof canvassing phone calls please either let me know or contact the candidate that the call is supposedly being made on behalf of.
