Trowbridge Rugby Club to move to Hilperton.
Subject to their selling the existing ground in Green Lane, the rugby club has an aspiration to move to new purpose built facilities adjacent to the by-way opposite Paxcroft Farm on Devizes Road.

The estimated cost of the new scheme would seem to be in the region of £3m and the club would get up-to-date facilities such as an all weather floodlit training area, gymnasium, physiotherapy room and two bars. Four pitches will be provided, one to county standard.

It is rumoured that it will be titled 'Hilperton Ridge' so that everyone realises that they are playing in Hilperton and not Trowbridge. Quite right, too!!!
