Lib Dems attempt to bring council down.
The Lib Dems want to dismiss the leader of the district council.
Without going into all the background nonsense behind this attempt to de-stabilise the council, three points spring to mind.
1. What do you, the public, make of this? No wonder people dis-trust party politics.
2. Is it a coincidence that this 'coup' is timed for just after the WCC election?
3. For the attempt to succeed the Lib Dems will need the support of the Labour group at WWDC. On TV last week Charles Kennedy stated that the Lib Dems would not work with Labour to form a government at Westminster. Obviously, the local party has other ideas so, if you vote for a party in a local election, do you actually know what surprises they have hidden away for the future?
