Will Wiltshire Council now recommence its waste consultation?

In the run-up to the General Election, WC stopped its waste consultation exercise. Presumably this will recommence once a government has been formed.

Recent research has shown that allowing residents to put all their dry recyclable waste into one bin can increase collection rates by 25% compared to kerbside schemes.

However, the company behind the research has said that no one system is consistently cheaper or better than another.

Notwithstanding this caveat, lets hope that the Conservative administration at County Hall is green-minded enough to realize that Wiltshire should have a county-wide scheme for the kerbside collection of plastic and cardboard waste.
