Good news for Trowbridge Road users?
There might be an end in sight to the potholes and poor surface.
When I saw the list of scheduled repairs for the Trowbridge Area Board roads, I couldn't believe that Trowbridge Road, Hilperton wasn't on it. I emailed the local manager and have received the following reply.'I am pleased to let you know that Trowbridge Road, Hilperton is included on our firm list of work for maintenance. I am unable to say at this moment the exact date for this work but I will keep you informed. It is likely to be within the coming months.Additional highway maintenance funding has also been made available for repair of winter damage, and this will be used for a series of carriageway repairs. It is unlikely that we will be able to resurface entire roads with this funding, but we will be able to carry out substantial repairs to those areas in worst condition. The assessments and evaluation of potential additional sites is currently underway, and a further edition of the Community Highway Information with the additional sites should be issued later this year. This is likely to include other roads in your Division.'As far as I know, the intention is to re-surface the whole of the road and thus stop the constant need to repair the pot holes that keep popping up.
