No wonder the WC housing service gets zero stars...

One of my questions to full council earlier this week was 'Would it not be prudent for this council to encourage its tenants to allow a transfer of the housing stock to either a RSL (Registered Social Landlord) or an ALMO (Arms Length Management Organisation)?

I won't bore you with the full text of the reply but one part of it shows just how in-efficient the service must be. Apparently, to organise a transfer ballot of approx 5,400 homes would cost £500k!! That's over £90 a house!!!

Having seen the Audit Commission report on WC housing, I would suggest that, even at this cost, it could, in the long term, prove to be money well spent.
