Community Payback.

Anyone can nominate a project.

In Wiltshire, over 72,000 hours of Community Payback (CP) are completed every year by offenders on a community sentence.

This equates to nearly £380,000 of free labour provided to the local community. CP projects are not-for-profit and range from litter removal to environmental projects through repairing and redecorating village halls or removing graffiti. Offenders usually work as part of a team, monitored by a supervisor.

Anyone can nominate a project so long as it a) benefits the local community, b) doesn't take paid work away from others and c) is demanding and worthwhile.
