Bowel cancer - a preventable killer.
Are you aged 60 or over?
>Bowel cancer is the country's second biggest cancer killer. Yet it is preventable and curable. If you are aged 60 or over you should either have received, or shortly will receive, an NHS bowel cancer screening kit.The uptake of these kits is low amongst men and in poorer areas. The procedure is straight forward, if a little 'basic', but it could save your life.As someone who only last week lost a friend because of cancer, can I please urge everyone who receives one of these kits to use it!!You, and your family, have nothing to lose but everything to gain. Most people that contract bowel cancer should live if it is diagnosed early enough.
