A chance to remember a loved one perhaps?

Wiltshire and Hilperton Parish Councils (with the assistance of the Ramblers' Association and the co-operation of the land owners) are intending to replace all the stiles on footpaths in the Gap with kissing gates.

The reason is that many people find stiles to be an obstacle whilst 'walk through' kissing gates are far more user (and push chair) friendly. It is anticipated that this replacement programme will enable more people to enjoy the benefits of exercise and experience the pleasure that the Gap's footpaths have to offer.

To help offset the cost you now have the chance, on a first-come-first-served basis, to 'sponsor' a kissing gate for £100. Eleven are available and the first three have already been spoken for.

For more details, or to 'book' a gate, please use the link buttons in the left-hand column of this page to contact either myself or the Parish Council.
