Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

The town council has written to Duncan Hames MP.

Duncan has written to the town council about the request for allotments on land in the the Trowbridge part of Paxcroft Mead.

In their reply, the council states that they do not own any suitable land but has held preliminary discussions with Wiltshire Council about securing land to satisfy demand.

The letter goes on to say 'I should point out that the Town Council would implement an allocations policy if it were responsible for allotments in the town which may not allow those not already on the waiting list any priority over those on it.' i.e. If the Trowbridge part of Paxcroft Mead was to get allotments, there is no guarantee that they would be allocatd to Paxcroft Mead residents.
