The council wants to hear from more people

The Conservative Cabinet at WC is concerned that some people don't take an interest in what the council does. So they're spending £54,000 by targeting 'hard to reach' groups across the county.

Each of the eighteen area boards will have £3,000 to spend reaching out to a different sector of society. Each of the community areas has each been allocated a different set of people to get involved with who are seen by the council as typical of their area.

Trowbridge has been handed 'teenage parents', but the prize for the scariest town in the county must go to Devizes. They have to 'reach out' to victims of domestic violence.

It was suggested to the cabinet that one of the area boards should target 'residents who can think of a better use for £54,000' but this wasn't followed-up for some reason.
