More Gap info.
More news is awaited from Persimmon.
At the time of writing neither I nor our MP have received any more information from Persimmon, but a couple of points need to be made.Firstly, neither I nor Wiltshire Council had to be advised that work was about to start. Once Persimmon had secured agreement for the various conditions with WC, Persimmon were then free to start work at a time that suited them and tied-in with legal requirements about not grubbing-out hedges when nesting birds might be present. I presume that the land owner(s) knew the timetable, but I certainly didn't.Secondly, I have contacted the tree officer at WC asking him to inspect the size of the 'sterile' areas around the trees to be retained. Several people have commented that they seem to be on the small side for the canopy of the respective trees.
