Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

Wiltshire Police is looking for volunteers.

It's easy to 'apply' just drive too quickly ...

The Trowbridge Rural policing team has acquired a new speed gun. Unlike the old radar gun, this one is laser.

The differences?

a) It operates at upto 400 metres.

b) Unlike the old radar guns that had a shorter range and had to record three 'bounces' to get your speed (hence if you braked when you saw the policeman you might not get a ticket) this gun only requires one 'ping'.

c) As a result you can now be 'pinged' before you even see the policeman, collect 3 points on your licence and part with £60.

You've been warned!!
