Another closed pub that will never re-open.
Although not in Hilperton Division, the loss of The Beehive public house is a sign of the times.

At their meeting on Wednesday the western hub planning committee of WC agreed to The Beehive being converted into a house. Only two councillors, of which I was one, voted aganist the proposal.

Without going into the nitty gritty of why the pub closed there is one thing that local people can do to keep their pubs open - use them!!

Many pubs these days make most of their profit from food, not drink. So whilst poppping down to your local for a tincture is a good idea, why not treat yourself to something to eat now and again?

Hilperton has two pubs (soon to be three) together with two village hall/community centre bars. Let's all do our bit to ensure that they stay in profit and open.
