The WC cabinet might be asked to look at their decision again.

The WC cabinet at its meeting on 14 December considered and determined a report on the Wiltshire Local Transport Plan - Car Parking Strategy.

This is to let you know that the cabinet decision has been called-in in accordance with the Overview and Scrutiny Procedure Rules of the council.

An extraordinary meeting of the Environment Select Committee has been arranged for Tuesday 21st December at 10.30 to consider the call-in.

Should the Select Committee resolve to pursue the call-in, it may refer the matter back to cabinet for reconsideration in light of any comments the Committee may make.

A special meeting of the cabinet is therefore being arranged for the same day, Tuesday 21 December at 2.30pm, to consider the Select Committee's views should the call-in be pursued.

Both meetings will be held in Committee Room No. 3, County Hall, but may be moved to the Council Chamber if necessary.

Both meetings are being called at short notice with the agreement of the Chairman of the Environment Select Committee and Leader respectively to deal with the matter within the call-in timescale and in view of the impending bank holidays.

Both meetings will be open to the public who may speak when invited by the Chairman.
