The town council plans will be discussed this coming Tuesday.

The aspiration of Trowbridge Town Council (TTC) to annex a swathe of Hilperton will be discussed at a meeting to be held at the Town Council offices on Tuesday evening.

The meeting starts at 7.00pm and is open to the public but only Trowbridge residents will be permitted to speak - there's democracy in action!

Could it be that TTC has over-stretched itself financially with the Civic Hall rebuild and needs to bolster its finances? Surely not.

Whilst some of the suggestions from TTC merit consideration others do not.

If you live in Castley Road, Fairwood Close, Faverole Way, Gibbs Leaze, Hackett Place or Painters Mead you might care to attend the meeting and find out what you would get for paying £100 extra a year in council tax (band D). (By the way, the answer is 'Nothing'.)

Also, TTC is interestingly staking its claim for the land to the west of the Hilperton Gap road (as and when/if it gets built).
