WC to butcher planning in west Wiltshire.
In an attempt to save money our planning area will disappear.
As part of the reduction in service provided by Wiltshire Council, cuts to the Development Service have been announced and a number of experienced planning officers will go.The Council has merged the East (Devizes) and West (Trowbridge) planning teams to create a new Central Team which will initially be based in Trowbridge at Bradley Road.Planning committee meetings will continue as usual until the committee structure is presumably reduced at a later date.Planning Enforcement is being centralised into one location, Trowbridge. A single team of ten officers will cover all of the county.Conservation will also be centralised. A new Principal Conservation Officer post has been created with a remit to provide county wide advice on the larger and more complex heritage projects.
