There was a surprise announcement last night.

There was a shock announcement made at last nights Trowbridge Area Board meeting.

The Bradford Road and Adcroft surgeries are going to combine but the GPs in Trowbridge seem to have no real appetite to build the long-promised Primary Care Centre. However, facilities at the hospital will be upgraded if the PCC is shelved.

This is what many local councillors feared might be the eventual outcome. The NHS made veiled threats to the planning committee about what would happen if planning permission was refused and now the PCC can't actually be delivered! At least not in the short term.

What another slap in the face for all of us. At this rate how much longer will Trowbridge want to call itself the county town?
