Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

If you're on the fiddle, your days are numbered.

Councils are hard at work (together with RSLs such as Selwood Housing) to root out benefit cheats.

A Selwood tenant recently had to pay back over £6,400 of benefits (plus fines) because she 'forgot' tell the council that her partner had started full-time employment.

If you know a benefit cheat (or 'thief' to be more accurate) call the Wiltshire Fraud line on 01249 706 456, report it on the WC website or phone the National Fraud Hotline on 0800 854 440.

You don't have to give your name and everything you say will be completely confidential. The more detail you can give, the more chance there is of the case being successfully investigated.
