WWDC planning committee meetings 13 and 14 July.
Exceptionally, there will be two meetings next week.
On Wednesday the outline application for 550 houses south of Paxcroft Mead will be considered. Although this is not within Paxcroft Ward, it will impact on many Hilperton parish residents. The 2004 application is before the committee at my request, in order that all public concerns can be aired including the extension of Leap Gate, the location of the bats etc. etc.
On Thursday, phase 7b of Staverton Marina is back for consideration (application 05/00626). Again, the council officers are recommending approval whilst Staverton Parish Council has raised what many would regard as sound reasons for refusal.
I am sure that myself and Cllr. Carbin will contribute to the debate, as usual. The outcome will be interesting as an earlier, and similar, application was refused in October 2004 and is currently the subject of an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate. Will the planning committee stick to its principals?
