The parish council considered the application last night.

The special meeting was attended by many villagers plus the agent and architect for the application.

Following a presentation, members of the public and parish councillors asked questions of both the architect and the planning agent.

Following a discussion lasting over an hour, the parish council decided to object to the application on six grounds. It also asked that, if permission were to be granted, that material from any demolished buildings should be re-used on site and that a financial contribution to improving/enlarging the village hall should be sought.
