Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

WC planners seem to have 'done the dirty' on us.

On Monday, the next stage of the public consultation on the WC planning Core Strategy will commence.

Following the previous consultation I met with WC 'spatial planning' officers to ensure that Hilperton would keep its Village Policy Limit.

I received an assurance that this would be the case.

However, having seen an 'advnance' copy of the document at the Wiltshire Assembly yesterday, it would seem that I was lied to.

Hilperton is NOT listed as a village within the Trowbridge area. The planners gave me some cock-and-bull story about how 'this really doesn't matter Cllr. Clark' but I think that the planners and myself are singing from different hymn sheets.

I await release of the formal document but would urge ALL Hilperton residents to be on their guard.

If Wiltshire Council get their way, we will be a part of Trowbridge within the next few years - they MUST be stopped.
