Silenced by the government.
Housing providers told to keep quiet about grant allocations.
The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) has gagged Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) from revealing their funding allocation under the £1.8 billion affordable homes programme.Last week, the HCA announced the names of 146 successful bidders and revealed a regional breakdown of the pot of money. There are several RSLs operating in this area. They include Selwood Housing, Somer, Greensquare and Knightstone. In addition, Wiltshire Council seems keen to get involved as a landlord despite its failings in other parts of the county.Whether all/any/none of these bodies received funding we will, hopefully, find out soon. The Wiltshire Core Strategy has identified the number of affordable houses needed over the next ten years or so. If none of our RSLs have received funding, those figures might be purely academic.
