Nice work if you can get it!
As ABBA sang, 'Money, money, money'.
The Tenant Services Authority (TSA) dished out more than £370,000 to pay for two chief executives last year. The TSA accounts also show that it paid £2.2 million on redundancies. This included a £142,000 redundancy payment to a former chief executive. This was in addition to £105,667 in salary, a £41,250 payment in lieu of notice, an £11,500 bonus (!) and £12,690 in pension payments - a total of £313,000.Added to the £42,333 salary paid to his replacement, plus her £12,500 bonus and £4,487 in pension payments, the social housing regulator paid out a total of £372,477 on its two heads during the course of the year.Interestingly, the government is keen that tenants should be able to scrutinise social landlords (such as Selwood Housing), but it would seem that someone needs to scrutinise the body (the TSA) that oversees the landlords!
