...when the new parliamentary constituencies take effect.

The Boundary Commission has published its proposals to reorganise parliamentary constituency boundaries across the country.

Wiltshire will still have five constituencies, but the boundaries are changed significantly from the 2010 election, and also cross into Dorset.

Trowbridge gets a new constituency named after it (I'm sure that will please the town council!) and Hilperton will form part of it.

The new Trowbridge seat will also include Bradford, Melksham, and Corsham, much as I mentioned on my web-post back on 18th August.

The proposals are now out for 'consultation', but the odds of any significant changes in the final version are remote.
