Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

Hilperton did very well in the Wiltshire best kept village comp.

Having been awarded the 'Best kept large west Wiltshire village' accolade, the village went forward to be judged against the rest of the county.

The judges were very complimentary about Hilperton and, again, both the allotments and the church received praise. The results show that Hilperton came equal second.

The full results are:- 1st Ramsbury, 2nd= Hilperton/Whiteparish, 4th Brinkworth.

Not at all bad for a village that Wiltshire Council planning department tries not to acknowledge!!
