Recycling letter problem update.
It would seem that the problem is not, after all, widespread.
WC has explained why this problem occurred and how they plan to deal with it.When they were checking the data for properties and collection rounds in west Wiltshire the council found 114 properties that were listed as households but appeared to include businesses and churches. In order to meet the deadline for printing the calendars WC made the decision to remove these 114 properties from the data. It was their intention to check these properties, confirm which of them are households and produce calendars as necessary, separate from the main print run.Unfortunately an error was made at this point as the information about the collection rounds for these properties was removed, but not the addresses of the properties themselves. As a consequence calendars have been delivered to these addresses but, because there was no information about the collection rounds in our system for these properties, the word ‘None’ has appeared in the calendars instead of the dates for collection. The council is in the process of checking the list of 114 properties to check how many are households. WC will then enter the collection rounds information for these properties and print new calendars for them. These will be sent with a letter of apology as soon as the council is able to complete this work.
