A report is given at every Trowbridge Area Board meeting.

Inspector Dave Cullop gave a report on the 'redesign' of the Police service and the performance of the Trowbridge area.

There has been a 6% reduction in reported crime. Particularly pleasing is a 31% reduction in dwelling burglaries and a 9% reduction in violence against the person.

Criminal damage has reduced by 17% and thefts from motor vehicles dropped by 13%.

Detection rates have improved over the past year from 30% to 32%. Whilst this is a step in the right direction, it still seems quite a small percentage to me.
