Wiltshire Mobile Library Service review.
There doesn't seem to be any change for Hilperton (Paxcroft Mead).
Wiltshire Council is carrying out a routine review of its mobile library routes.A full set of proposed schedules in alphabetical order by location and each route can be found by visiting the Wiltshire Libraries home page at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/libraries and following the links to Mobile Library Consultation. In order for a mobile library stop to be viable it should attract an average of four customers on a regular basis. Where a stop has consistently failed to meet this target over a 12 month period, WC proposes to discontinue the stop to allow for busier stops to be extended or new ones created where demand exists. Any remaining customers who are unable to use an alternative mobile stop or a static branch library, can apply for the Home Library Service.During this period WC will be working closely with Parish Councils to involve local communities in the consultation process. Staff on the four Wiltshire mobile libraries will also be consulting with their users. Following consultation WC hopes to be in a position to introduce the revised routes in July.Having looked at the proposals, it would seem that Hilperton will continue to get its fortnightly stop at Budgens on the existing day and times.
