To be honest, I'm rather surprised.

On this site on 14th February, I 'posted' my question for the next meeting of Wiltshire Council relating to payments made for 'acting up'.

As I had had the temerity to name names and give cash figures I was warned that the question might be refused for breeching the WC Constitution.

This states that a member (councillor) cannot name an officer (member of council staff) in a question. I pointed out that of the three people I named, two had never worked for the unitary council whilst the third had recently accepted voluntary redunduncy.

All I have to do now is wait for Cllr. Scotts answer and think up a good 'supplementary question' to ask at the meeting (when she doesn't have the benefit of a weeks notice to be supplied with an answer by the legal department).
