I'm glad that this site is of use...

I have received the following email.

'After reading your news article today, within minutes a bag collecting on behalf of the RNLI fell through the letter box.

The scheme is operated by LCRSL at http://www.lcrsl.co.uk

It states £50 per tonne is paid to RNLI for each tonne. Speaking to LCRSL they said… 'Actually it should be £75 per tonne (you have an old bag)'.

So, after the sales pitch, my question was finally answered, how much do you get per tonne… which is £1000.00!!

However she then proceeded to tell me that COSTS (drivers, printing, diesel etc) are £850 per tonne…How inefficient or possibly untrue…

Thank you for pointing this out.'

I'm pleased that my 'warning' was useful and would urge residents to take any unwanted clothes to a local charity shop.
