Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

As in 2009 and 2013, I'm humbled by the election result.

My thanks to everyone that helped with the campaign and those who voted for me. Literally, it could not have been done without you.

It was interesting to see that the two highest number of votes cast in the county were both for Independent candidates.

The number of votes cast for me increased from 1,329 in 2013 to 1,342 but my majority decreased from 1,211 to 1,134.

Turnout in Hilperton was 50% eight years ago, 41% four years ago and 43% this year. That compares well to the Wiltshire average of 39%.

Now comes four years hard work to continue making Hilperton Division a better place to live.
