Ernie Clark. Hilperton Division, Wiltshire Council.

The paper has published a letter from me.

A letter was published yesterday from a Somerset councillor suggesting that council elections should be synchronised with general elections.

I wrote suggesting a better, in my opinion, alternative and an edited version of it was printed today

'Rather than synchronising the dates of council and general elections, Ronald Forrest could abandon his party platform at council elections and stand on his own merits as an Independent. That way, he could be sure of being judged on his abilities.'
