Pressure on jobs remains.

Wiltshire Council is to lose another 340 jobs as a result of cuts by government and the council's spending plans.

The 2013/14 budget increases spending by £18 million which, when combined with the reduction in central government funding of £9 million, requires cuts of £27 million.

A council-wide voluntary redundancy programme will start in June following confirmation at this month's cabinet meeting. All staff will be able to apply.
