Want to learn a new sport?

Athletics, basketball and cricket camps will be offered to young people across Wiltshire this summer in an effort to encourage more young people to play sport.

Locally, a SlamDunkz basketball camp will be in Trowbridge, whilst a Sloggerz cricket camp will be held at Bradford on Avon cricket club.

This is part of Wiltshire Council’s bigger plan to support the development of sport in the county and to attract more young people into local sports clubs. To find out what sporting opportunities are available, people can follow the sports, physical activity and leisure team on twitter @Sport4Wiltshire

Camps run from 10am to 3pm and will focus on offering skills and drills in the morning, and competitions for those taking part in the afternoon. Participants at Sloggerz cricket camp will feature mini test matches every day.
