Where some of our Council tax goes.
How many trees does WWDC use every year?
Figures recently released by WWDC show that in the financial year 2004-05 over £35,000 was spent on computer consumables and over £13,000 on paper. Not taking photocopying into account, WWDC produced over 7,000,000 print pages!!
In an attempt to reduce these costs the council is now setting all printers to default to black/white printing rather than colour, to print double sided and to use 'economode' to save toner.
These cost saving measures are to be welcomed, but the qestion must be asked "Why wasn't this done years ago?"
