The Inspector has made his decision.

A site visit made on 4 November 2013 by J A B Gresty MA MRICS an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.

Appeal Ref: APP/Y3940/A/13/2193854.

The appeal was against a refusal to grant planning permission. The appeal was made by Ashford Homes (South Western) Ltd against the decision of Wiltshire Council on application W/12/01838/FUL, dated 1 October 2012.

The development proposed is continued change of use for the storage of building materials and plant (Use Class B8) for a three year period.

Main Issues. There are three main issues in this case. Firstly is whether the appeal proposal would comply with development plan policies with regard to development in the countryside. Secondly, is the effect of the proposed development on the character and appearance of the area and, thirdly, is the effect of the development on the living conditions of nearby residents with regard to noise and general disturbance.

Decision. The appeal is dismissed.
